Subject: My website is up for some people but down for other people. How can I troubleshoot this
The following message was sent by our staff regarding the above subject:
If your site is up at all for anyone, this means that the access problem is not server side.
It could mean many things, but often :
- Your site DNS has changed recently and has not fully propagated through the internet. (DNS propagation takes 12-24hrs)
- The area in which the site is not loading is experiencing local ISP issues.
- The computer which can not access the site is having connection issues between the machine and our server. This can be routed out with a trace between machines, but often it is best to contact a network administrator for your company/website.
- There are honestly, many other possibilities too numerous to list which could be related to a specific machine, area, or ISP.
Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions or issues. Thank you for contacting us.
