Subject: DNS settings for domains and addon domains
The following message was sent by our staff regarding the above subject:
Hi Lou,
All domains associated with one hosting account have identical DNS settings.
Webmasters now uses identical domain name servers (DNS) for all web hosting accounts.
dns1.webmasters.com
dns2.webmasters.com
dns3.webmasters.com
dns4.webmasters.com
If you did not already point the DNS settings for this domain to our servers, please go to your domain registrar's website to do so. If we are your DNS registrar, you can do this by logging into your Domain Control Panel at http://www.controlpanel.com (MIDDLE section).
*IMPORTANT*
In order for the new DNS to work, you must edit your hosting zone record with the DNS Manager.
Please do the following.
1) Click on DNS Manager from the WEB HOSTING account (not Domain Registration)
2) Remove the current two sets of NS and A records such as:
domain.com. IN NS xx.webmasters.com.
domain.com. IN NS xx.webmasters.com.
nsxx.webmasters.com. IN A 1.2.3.4.
nsxx.webmasters.com. IN A 4.3.2.1.
This will disable these records. There are four total.
3) Now insert the new records - replacing domain.com with your domain name.
domain.com. IN NS dns1.webmasters.com.
domain.com. IN NS dns2.webmasters.com.
domain.com. IN NS dns3.webmasters.com.
domain.com. IN NS dns4.webmasters.com.
Everything else will stay the same.
4) Save Changes.
Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions or issues. Thank you for contacting us.
Best regards,
WEBMASTERS.COM
