I've used your services on and off since probably around 2004/2005ish. I switched once, because I was given a great promotional offer; leaving was a mistake! I'd rather have EXCELLENT service, and a steady price that I know won't change, and I don't think has for the last 17 years...WOW!
And I haven't even mentioned their support yet! Their support is nothing short of incredible! I'm usually given an answer within hours, IF NOT minutes. In the last 17 years, there's only been maybe once or twice when it took a few days to get an answer. And the one time I know, was after a major upgrade, and I wasn't familiar with some of the changes - so Paul took the time to explain some questions I had, in much greater detail than he probably had to. Just a quick note to say thanks to John DeSantis and your other admins.
I am doing the web admin duties for a small missionary group and they (we) have been having a lot of trouble with their current hosting provider (no names needed). They told me that they have recently had days worth of email go missing, constant site instability, and I have been unable to access their ftp site now for over a week. When they called their hosting provider to discuss these issues, they said they were put on hold for 3 (you read that right THREE) hours before they had a human appear and "help" them with their problem. Not surprisingly, the problem still exists. Emails to their host often do not receive a reply for several days, or they only get automatic responses with unhelpful advice. In comparison, the Webmasters.com admins are always quick to respond when I send in a trouble report. I usually have whatever problem that I have noted solved in under an hour. When I told this missionary group about how the Webmasters.com admins handle problems, they asked if I would transfer their account over to you. I'm waiting for the domain transfer to go through right now, but when it does, I will be opening up another hosting account for this group. So thanks again to John, Curran, J. Marquand, and the others in your support group. As this other hosting provider demonstrated, anyone can host a site; just plunk a server down and load Apache in. What sets Webmasters.com apart is how you deal with clients when they are having problems that makes the difference. |

Chris did a job in undertanding our problem, although I couldn't have my issue sorted out promptly, but I understand that was not an easy task and on top of that, was at your rush hour.

I think it would be almost impossible to exceed the support, as well as the response time, that I received from Webmasters.com. I had some difficulty renaming and then relocating my website, and the support team responded in real time - sometimes within 5 to 10 minutes of my email request for help. Any person, in need of a host site, definitely needs to know about Webmasters.com. It simply doesn’t get any better than this company. |
